Ulajh star Janhvi Kapoor on challenges faced by star kids; says 'apne aap ko serious mat lo' as she talks about social media trolling

As a lifestyle expert and someone who has observed the entertainment industry closely, I have seen many young actors face criticism and trolling, especially those with a film background like Janhvi Kapoor. It is disheartening to see how some people overlook their hard work, talent, and dedication, focusing instead on their lineage.

Janhvi Kapoor is the child of film producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi. Her sister, Khushi Kapoor, started her acting career in 2023 as well. The two sisters frequently encounter criticism due to their background in the film industry as being the offspring of famous parents.

In a recent interview, Janhvi spoke candidly about the criticisms and online harassment she’s faced due to her family background.

Janhvi Kapoor says she does not let criticism affect her

In response to the criticism I’ve faced as a star kid on social media, I spoke with Mashable India and shared, “Don’t take yourselves too seriously, this trolling culture is not about choosing to engage or not, it’s just a part of being in the public eye. Placing so much importance on yourself is unnecessary. We are all just human beings in this world, and everyone is watching my back. The comments being made aren’t as serious as they seem.”

As a devoted admirer, I choose to rise above the relentless chatter of social media trolls and commenters. I understand that in today’s digital landscape, attention-seeking can be all too easy. However, I refuse to let myself get carried away by the cultural obsession with self-importance in the social media sphere. Instead, I focus on spreading positivity and adding value to online conversations, rather than seeking validation or engaging in petty disputes.

Based on the given text, I believe that Janhvi Kapoor values self-image and believes that people’s perspectives should not impact one’s own perception of oneself. Drawing from her own experiences as an actress, she emphasizes that it can be difficult to face criticism and negativity, but ultimately, how we view ourselves is more important than external opinions. It takes courage and self-assurance to prioritize personal worth over societal pressure or judgment. Janhvi’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of self-love and inner strength in the face of adversity.

In the meantime, Janhvi Kapoor fell ill with food poisoning and had to be admitted to the hospital. She was released on July 20th. Looking forward, Janhvi is preparing for the upcoming premiere of Ulajh.

About Ulajh

In the compelling 2-minute, 33-second trailer, Janhvi Kapoor brings Suhani Bhatia to life. At just a young age, she secures the position of India’s Deputy High Commissioner, sparking doubts among some about her qualifications or if nepotism played a role in her appointment. As Suhana embarks on an essential mission at the London embassy, she unwittingly becomes embroiled in a perilous conspiracy. Consequently, she is falsely accused of being a traitor.

At the same time, Sudhanshu Saria directs the film with actors Gulshan Devaiah, cast alongside Roshan Mathew, Adil Hussain, Rajendra Gupta, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, and Jitendra Joshi. The movie is set to release in theaters on August 2.
