Glass Animals Unveils 'I Love You So F***ing Much' LP

As a longtime Glass Animals fan and someone who’s been through their musical journey since their early days, I have to say that “I Love You So F***ing Much” is a testament to Dave Bayley’s growth as an artist and his ability to transform the mundane into the extraordinary. The album takes us on a cosmic odyssey while grounding us with the relatable themes of human connection and existential crises.

Glass Animals has taken a leap into the cosmos for their fourth album. This new release comes about four years after their previous project, “Dreamland,” which frontman Dave Bayley claims triggered the introspective crisis leading to its successor’s themes. In “I Love You So F***ing Much,” Glass Animals explores the vastness of space while addressing the relatable existential dilemmas we face daily.

Bayley shared with Apple Music that she had attempted to create a space-themed record earlier but felt it lacked warmth and connection to humans. Much of this sterile composition was produced during the pandemic.

Looking at the world from that house made me appreciate its significance. Outside, people went about their daily lives with their families and disputes at gas stations. Witnessing such human connections reminded me of their profound impact. Our relationships and emotions dwarf even the biggest things in life. The seemingly insignificant moments before us are actually priceless.

I’m deeply connected to the themes that run throughout all ten tracks, with “A Tear In Space (Airlock)” and “Creatures in Heaven” resonating with me strongly even before their release. The visuals, such as the recently unveiled “Show Pony” visualizer, only enhance my connection to these powerful pieces of art.

The heartfelt expression “I Love You So Much” is expressed before the tour of the earth commences. This tour, led by the group, starts in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7, with Eyedress, Kevin Abstract, Blondshell, and The Big Moon providing support.
