Michael Jackson’s Signed Drawings Set for Auction in Los Angeles

As a dedicated fan of Michael Jackson’s artistry and legacy, I am thrilled to hear about this upcoming auction of his signed drawings. It’s not every day that we get the opportunity to own a piece of pop music history, let alone something personally touched by the iconic King of Pop himself.

In August, at an undisclosed site in Los Angeles, Michael Jackson’s signed sketches will be up for grabs through an auction. King’s Auctions revealed this week that around forty of his art pieces will be sold to the buyer with the highest bid.

As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that on August 3rd, at an upscale venue in Beverly Hills yet to be disclosed by King’s Auctions, there will be an extraordinary auction event. This prestigious global firm has promised us an unforgettable experience as they put up for bidding, a collection of no less than 78 captivating drawings by the legendary King of Pop. Each of these pieces bears his unique signature, making them not just treasured works of art but also priceless pieces of pop music history. As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but imagine the immense satisfaction and pride that comes with owning a personally signed piece by this iconic figure.

Jackson, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 53 due to propofol overdose, had an enduring appreciation for art and took up drawing as a child. During his touring years, he often sought solace in this activity, finding it conveniently portable.

“In the statement released to The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday, Kings Auctions noted that his artistic influences were diverse, encompassing classical and architectural styles, pop art, and formal portraiture.”

In this auction, there’s a distinct twist: Lot #1, with a starting bid of $1 million, represents the entire collection of 78 items up for grabs. If the reserve price is hit, the sale will be wrapped up immediately, leaving the entire collection to the successful bidder. Conversely, if the reserve isn’t reached, the auction will default to its regular format, where each artwork is sold separately. The auction house shared this information.

The auction, coordinated with King’s LA division, offers absentee and live online bidding through LiveAuctioneers. Preview sessions will take place in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas for your convenience.
