Harleen Sethi REACTS to being labeled as Vicky Kaushal's ex-girlfriend; Here's what she said

As a lifestyle expert, I have had the opportunity to observe and analyze many individuals’ lives, but few have piqued my interest as much as Harleen Sethi. The actress, who has been in the limelight for her acting skills and personal life, particularly her relationship with Vicky Kaushal, continues to make headlines.

Actress Harleen Sethi, known for her role in Disney+Hotstar’s “Bad Cop,” frequently makes news for her romantic affairs. Prior to their split in 2019, she had been dating Vicky Kaushal for an extended period.

Recently, the actress spoke out against being referred to as a past girlfriend of Vicky. She prefers not to be defined by this label.

Harleen Sethi says this about being referred to as Vicky Kaushal’s ex

In a chat with Filmygyan, Harleen Sethi was questioned about experiencing any confusion over her self-image due to being known primarily as Vicky Kaushal’s ex-girlfriend.

“Harleen describes herself on Instagram simply as ‘I Am.’ She shares a common struggle many of us face in defining ourselves beyond those two words. It’s an ongoing journey for her to understand who she truly is.”

She declared, “I won’t even call myself an actress. I am everything in it.”

Harleen strongly expressed her desire to be appreciated for the various roles she holds in life, such as being a daughter, a sister, or a friend. Moreover, she highlighted that fundamentally, she is a complete and independent entity all by herself. (The actress Harleen mentioned is from the Indian TV show “Broken But Beautiful”)

When Harleen spoke about her identity in the past

During an interview with TopMob in 2019, Harleen Sethi revealed that her loved ones are often disturbed by the rumors circulating after her split from Vicky Kaushal.

Harleen mentioned that she’s connected to a well-known actor in films, but hasn’t made an on-screen appearance herself. However, this doesn’t diminish her acting abilities in any way. In terms of self-acceptance, the actress expressed her preference for being recognized as Harleen Sethi, and finding it unfair for someone else to be referred to as her former boyfriend.

Harleen made it clear that she preferred to be identified by her nickname and trusted her body of work to represent her. After parting ways with Vicky Kaushal following the release of his 2019 movie, “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” Harleen Sethi chose to focus on her individual accomplishments.

On the work front, Harleen has worked in series like Broken But Beautiful (2018) and Kohrra (2023).

Recently, Aditya Datt helmed the production of a new crime-thriller series named “Bad Cop,” featuring Gulshan Devaiah, Anurag Kashyap, and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles.
