Japanese Hip-Hop Duo Creepy Nuts Hit Dodger Stadium for Launch of Electric Car Afeela

As a hardcore gamer and tech enthusiast, I was absolutely blown away by the energy and innovation that unfolded at Dodger Stadium this past weekend. The Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts brought the house down with their chart-topping hit “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” while making history as the first-ever performance for a Sony Honda Mobility activation.

Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, consisting of rapper R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga, achieved great success this year with their single “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.” This track reached the top spot on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart and ranked eighth on the Billboard Global 200. On a Saturday afternoon, they made their first U.S. appearance at Dodger Stadium, adding an extra thrill to their performance by incorporating some revving engine sounds.

Outside Dodger Stadium, before the 4:15 p.m. clash between the Dodgers and Boston Red Sox, a duo from Sony Music performed a two-song set. However, this wasn’t your average pre-game show. This musical act, representing the new automotive brand Afeela – a collaboration between Honda and Sony – arrived at Dodger Stadium for an activation.

Two prototype models were present at the sports event, signifying the initial reveal of the vehicle during this occasion and one of its first public showcases aside from successive presentations at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Pre-orders for the sedan can be placed starting from 2025, with expected deliveries commencing in North America around spring 2026. Afeela boasts sophisticated sensing technology, a sound-absorbing cabin, spatial audio, autonomous parking functionality, and AI-assisted driving support.

R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga stepped out of their vehicle, signaling the start of their performance as a puff of smoke wafted from a nearby machine. A group of influencers, such as Anime Men, Forrest Jones, Hannah Kosh, Adam Barrera, Che Mosley, Jacki Jing, Novak, and Micah, gathered to take in the atmosphere.

“Lon Rosen, the Dodgers’ executive vice president and chief marketing officer, expressed his delight over Sony Honda Mobility selecting Dodger Stadium as the debut location for showcasing their advanced Afeela prototype. This selection underscores the Dodgers’ ability to facilitate new product introductions and strengthen brand recognition in significant markets.”

I’m a big fan of baseball, and let me tell you, the Dodgers’ victory in Saturday’s game against their rivals was nothing short of exhilarating. The tension was palpable as we watched the 11-inning battle unfold. But when the final out was made, and the Dodgers emerged victorious with a score of 7-6, I couldn’t contain my excitement. This win marked the end of an impressive series sweep, securing their dominance with a perfect 3-0 record. Having witnessed countless nail-biting games throughout the season, this triumph was especially sweet for me as a devoted fan.
