The Weeknd is gradually revealing more about his upcoming album, giving fans a sneak peek into what’s to come. About three weeks ago, he shared the initial preview of this new project. Now, he has released another glimpse into the forthcoming album, which will be the last in his trilogy following “After Hours” in 2020 and “Dawn FM” in 2022.
A new teaser has been released, lasting approximately two minutes and featuring two distinct songs along with surreal, sci-fi imagery. This clip builds upon the previous teaser The Weeknd shared last week, but includes a foreboding quote from Friedrich Nietzsche: “The abyss also gazes into you when you stare long into it.”

In the first song, he sings, “I gave it my all to keep you here / I’m uneasy with this halfway perspective / Please assure me that this isn’t an end / Am I reaching my final goodbye?”
“I made an effort to become something I can’t be, instead/It’s a wasted effort to spend another hour on this/Another hour on this is a wasted effort for me/Instead, I’d rather leave behind some kind of impact/This feeling of being so commonplace was all too familiar.”
Regarding the second song, the video is similar to an earlier demo called “Hold Your Heart,” which wasn’t included in the album “After Hours.”
“Hold my heart next to yours, so near / Recall how it has always rhythmically pulsed for you. / I’m plunging at an incredible rate,/ Gazing at your shrinking visage, don’t weep / Understand that my heart is truly yours.”
