Don’t get me wrong, I hold immense respect for Ranbir’s acting prowess and believe he is one of the finest actors we have in Bollywood today. His ability to bring depth and nuance to his roles is truly commendable.
In the winter of 2023, Ranbir Kapoor’s film “Animal” by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had an extraordinary run in cinemas, which is uncommon for Indian movies. With earnings surpassing those of “Jawan” and “Pathaan,” it ranked as the third highest-grossing film of the year. Upon debut, this action drama elicited a blend of praise and critique from audiences.
Previously employed civil servant Vikas Divyakirti, who made an appearance in Vikrant Massey’s movie “12th Fail,” has shared his feelings about the film during an interview with ANI. He admitted to being let down by the film but praised Ranbir Kapoor for his acting skills.
Vikas Divyakirti’s thoughts on Ranbir Kapoor and his Animal
Divyakirti expressed her belief in Ranbir Kapoor’s acting abilities, stating, “Ranbir Kapoor proves time and again that he is both talented and intelligent. However, I was disappointed by his recent film, Animal. Despite my feelings about that project, I am in awe of how he continues to honor the Kapoor family legacy with such grace.”
Vikas Divyakirti went on to say, “His parents were both skilled actors. But he’s surpassed them in the film industry. I’ve met numerous individuals in this field, and they all attest to his versatility. He excels in every role he takes on.” When the host remarked that Ranbir earned his success due to nepotism, Divyakirti replied, “As a product of nepotism, one eventually needs to prove themselves worthy after being given some initial opportunities.”
When Vikas Divyakirti called Animal a ‘fuhad’ and ‘badtameez’ film
Divyakirti, an education expert, has previously criticized Vanga’s film “Animal” in an interview with Neelesh Misra. In the past, she expressed her disapproval, stating that such a movie sets society back by a decade. According to her, films ought to provide social value instead of just being financially profitable for their creators. Vikas shared this viewpoint.
Divyankirti expressed his disappointment over the scene in the movie where Triptii Dimri’s character was asked to lick Ranbir’s shoes as a sign of loyalty. He added, “If such boys with outdated mindsets still exist, it is truly unfortunate for our progressive society.”
