An accusation was made in a separate case related to Salman Khan’s firing incident; the Mumbai Police assert that Anmol Bishnoi instructed a gunman to discharge weapons outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, intending to intimidate him. According to India News, this act was reportedly part of a larger scheme orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang to assert control in Mumbai for monetary and other advantages.
In a detailed report submitted to a special court, the Crime Branch included recordings of discussions between two gunmen, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, and Anmol Bishnoi prior to the shooting incident. It has emerged that Anmol instructed the shooters not to don helmets or smoke cigarettes beforehand to project an intimidating demeanor.
In one of their discussions, he suggested: “Light a fire that makes Bhai (Salman) tremble, continue smoking to project a fearless image on the CCTV camera.” The chargesheet additionally disclosed this information, adding: “You will make history with this task and your name will be featured prominently in all newspapers and media outlets.”
Based on my experience as a seasoned investigative journalist, I can tell you that the chargesheet paints a chilling picture of Anmol Bishnoi’s alleged involvement in the shooting. According to the document, Anmol was reportedly in regular contact with both shooters prior to the incident. Furthermore, it has come to light that his jailed brother, Lawrence Bishnoi, had spoken to the shooters as well.
Salman Khan reacts to the firing incident
During an interview with India Today, Salman Khan shared that he was woken up by a loud explosion-like noise early in the morning, around 4:55 AM. Unknown gunmen had opened fire outside his residence at that time. His security team alerted him to this occurrence afterwards.
