Starfield’s rumoured second DLC revealed in trademarks

As a long-time fan of Bethesda and their immersive open-world RPGs, I’m beyond excited about the latest Starfield news. The prospect of exploring new universes with the Starborn, one of Starfield’s most intriguing factions, has me hooked.

Bethesda is poised to soar high once more, as new trademarks suggest an exciting future for Starfield. This sci-fi adventure game is expected to serve as a bridge for the studio, providing an abundant schedule of expansions leading up to The Elder Scrolls 6’s release.

We know at least one Starfield DLC is on the way, with Shattered Space coming in “Fall 2024.” As Skyrim rolled out its three expansions of Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn in just over a year, it was always expected that Starfield would have more than one DLC.

As a devoted fan of gaming, I came across an intriguing discovery made by Tumur222 on Twitter: Bethesda has recently filed for a trademark under the name Starborn. For those in the know, having delved deep into the captivating world of Starfield, the Starborn are an enigmatic collective who journey through a cosmic gateway called The Unity and travel between universes.

The enigmatic Starborn beings in Starfield are revealed once you amass sufficient Artifacts within the game. Their distinctive spacesuits and mastery of Guardian ships add intrigue to this universe, implying that a potential DLC expansion for Starfield could benefit immensely from their advanced technology.

According to Todd Howard of Bethesda, we can expect at least one additional expansion following Shattered Space, possibly even Starborn. Previously, Howard expressed his intention to roll out Starfield expansions annually. If the leak is accurate, then it’s likely that Starborn will make an appearance in 2025.

The game “Shattered Space” will focus on the House Va’ruun cult, while the Starborn faction makes an excellent choice for expansion. With their ability to traverse universes, a downloadable content (DLC) centered around the Starborn and their possible origin could offer an expansive intergalactic journey.

Starfield on Steam presently holds a “middling” rating, and as player counts dwindle, there’s growing anticipation for Shattered Space to revive the experience. The upcoming DLC for Starfield is seen as a possible savior, with its potential success paving the way for future expansions like Starborn.
