Kevin Smith Shares Jay and Silent Bob 3 Title and Plot Details at SDCC

As a die-hard fan of Kevin Smith and his iconic duo Jay and Silent Bob, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that they were coming back to the big screen for a third time with a new movie titled “Jay and Silent Bob: Store Wars.” The duo, played by Jason Mewes and Smith himself, have been a staple in Smith’s films since his debut with “Clerks” in 1994.

Jay and Silent Bob are set to bring their brand of crudeness and risqué humor back to the silver screen for a third installment, and Kevin Smith, the filmmaker, has unveiled the title for this long-awaited sequel. The well-known pot-smoking duo, portrayed by Jason Mewes and Smith himself, made their debut in Smith’s initial movie, Clerks. Since then, they have resurfaced in many of Smith’s productions, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. Eager to take center stage again, the duo also starred in two solo films, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

At Comic Con in San Diego, actor, writer, and director Smith announced that a third Jay and Silent Bob film is under production, titled “Jay and Silent Bob: Store Wars.” The movie’s plot is still being developed, but Smith gave fans a rough idea of what to expect. Likely set in New Jersey, the pair’s next adventure will involve opening their own marijuana dispensary. However, they encounter competition from a rival, making their business venture more complicated.

1. “Just like many of Smith’s films, ‘Jay and Silent Bob: Store Wars’ is expected to be a heartfelt tribute to the intellectual properties and series that he cherishes. The director has hinted that, while maintaining its trademark stoner comedy feel, the latest ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ film will incorporate elements reminiscent of Sam Raimi’s ‘The Evil Dead’. Smith has disclosed that the movie will introduce a mysterious artifact called the NecroBobicon, which, if mishandled, could render someone permanently speechless.”

Kevin Smith Has Multiple Movies in the Works

Ever since his self-financed debut movie, “Clerks,” Kevin Smith has kept a busy schedule in the entertainment industry. He’s directed, written, produced, and acted in numerous films, hosted multiple podcasts, and lent his voice to various animation and video games. With many new projects on the horizon, Smith continues to stay active. Not only is Jay and Silent Bob set for another sequel, but there are also plans for a follow-up to “Mallrats” titled “Twilight of the Mallrats“. This upcoming film has sparked excitement among fans since the first was released in 1995. However, following the passing of Shannen Doherty, who starred in “Mallrats,” it remains uncertain whether Smith will proceed with this specific project.

As a die-hard comic book enthusiast, I, Smith, have made appearances in various projects inspired by graphic novels, with ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ being one of them. Previously directing several episodes for the popular CW series ‘Supergirl’, I am now leading a superhero project of my own. The upcoming series, titled ‘Sam and Twitch‘, is based on characters from Todd McFarlane’s ‘Spawn’ comics. This new creation follows our main characters, Sam and Twitch – homicide detectives in New York City – as they delve into the dark and occult side of their city to solve grisly murders.

Despite being exceptionally occupied with his tasks, Smith’s upcoming projects have not been without challenges. Lately, Smith has found himself embroiled in a disagreement with the MPA concerning his next movie, titled The 4:30 Movie. In contrast to Smith’s history of successfully appealing the MPA’s previous ratings, this time the Motion Picture Association has remained firm in assigning an R-rating to The 4:30 Movie. At present, Smith is attempting to lower this rating to PG-13.
