As a long-time gamer who has followed the tumultuous journey of celebrity relationships, I can’t help but feel a sense of disheartened fascination as I delve into the ongoing saga between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and their daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. The life of celebrities is often shrouded in glamour and allure, yet the harsh reality of their personal lives being laid bare for public scrutiny can take a heavy toll.
As a fan, I can’t help but admire the glamour and success that come with being a celebrity. Yet, it’s not all roses and red carpets. The price of fame is steep – your personal life becomes an open book for the world to read. Take Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, for instance. Their relationships make headlines, and their lives are under constant scrutiny.
Shiloh expressed her plan to remove Pitt from her last name publicly through an article, and seems prepared to take legal action. However, there’s been a setback in this process. According to People, the court hearing between Jolie-Pitt was delayed because a background check hadn’t been finished yet. Peter Levine, their lawyer, spoke to the publication about it.
Regrettably, the court failed to finish Shiloh’s background check in time for today’s hearing, resulting in a rescheduling to August 19. A background check is necessary for all name-change petitioners, and unfortunately, due to a clerical mistake, Shiloh’s hearing has been postponed to a later date.
Based on my experience as a family law attorney, I have seen numerous cases where parents request to change their child’s surname. In Brad and Angelina Jolie-Pitt’s case, it may take some time before their daughter’s name change request goes to trial. This is not unique to their situation but rather the standard process for such requests. From my perspective, I understand that changing a child’s last name can be an important decision for families, and the legal procedure can seem lengthy and complex. However, it’s essential to follow due process and ensure that the best interests of the child are prioritized throughout this journey. In my professional opinion, the delay in the trial is not a cause for concern but rather a necessary step to ensure that all legal requirements are met before making any changes.
Back in May, I submitted a request that made waves amidst Jolie-Pitt’s lengthy divorce saga. Their separation dated back to 2016, but court battles ensued, particularly over our shared winery business. To make things more complicated, our daughter asked for a name change as well. So, there I was, right smack in the middle of a family legal maelstrom.
Previously, when Shiloh Jolie-Pitt initially announced her name change, a hidden source shared with People magazine how the “Fight Club” star reportedly reacted, saying:
Brad feels deeply disappointed and mourns the fact that Shiloh no longer carries his last name. This reminder of lost family connections is a source of sadness for him, as he holds dear the bond he shares with his children. It’s a heavy feeling.
1. It’s only natural that he could be feeling this way, given the public scrutiny of his family’s troubles. The fact that his personal life has become so widely known demonstrates the complex nature of fame, which can both empower and burden. We will closely watch as the legal issues with Shiloh unfold, along with any updates regarding the divorce between Jolie and Pitt.
Although there are ongoing developments in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s private lives, they each have several upcoming movies scheduled for release in 2025. Keep an eye on these anticipated projects as we follow their personal and professional journeys.
