‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Finale Leaks on Social Media

As a seasoned gamer and a die-hard fan of epic storytelling, I can’t help but feel the bitter sting of frustration yet again. The leaked clips of House of the Dragon‘s season two finale have once more disrupted the sacred ritual of anticipation that we all share.

Once more, there’s another unauthorized disclosure – this time, it’s the highly-acclaimed HBO series “House of the Dragon” that’s fallen victim to an online leak before the season two culmination.

On Tuesday evening, just a few days prior to the final episode airing on Aug 4th, it seemed like an unscrupulous fan had leaked several scenes from the eighth episode onto a new TikTok account. As a dedicated viewer, I can’t help but feel disappointed and frustrated as these clips were illegally obtained, most likely by someone recording their screen with additional equipment. This premature reveal is definitely not the way I’d want to experience the upcoming finale, ComicBook.com reported.

Despite being removed from the original account, snippets of those captivating videos are now circulating on TikTok and X (previously known as Twitter). According to ComicBook.com, those videos garnered over 100,000 views on TikTok before they were taken down. As a fan, I’m still able to catch glimpses of them thanks to this widespread sharing!

Initially, it wasn’t evident who had caused the leak. The Hollywood Reporter sought HBO’s response on the matter.

On previous occasions, the final episode of ‘House of the Dragon’ has been pirated online ahead of its official release. Last year, just before the season one finale was broadcast, an unauthorized version became accessible. At that time, HBO traced the leak back to a distributor in Europe, the Middle East or Africa.

“The source seems to be one of our distributors based in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region,” a representative from the company said back then, as reported by THR. “HBO is actively working to remove these unauthorized versions from the web.”

In 2017, a case similar to the current one occurred when an episode from season seven of “Game of Thrones” was leaked on unauthorized torrent sites before its official premiere. HBO attributed this leak to a mistake made by a third-party supplier who inadvertently posted it.
