Alexandra Daddario Joked Her Pregnancy Was The Worst Kept Secret Earlier This Year: 'None Of Your Business'

As a longtime fan of Alexandra Daddario, I can’t help but feel a sense of joy and admiration for this incredible actress. Witnessing her journey from Baywatch to Mayfair Witches has been nothing short of inspiring, and now, as she embarks on a new chapter in her life as a mother, my respect for her grows even more.

Global excitement soared as news broke that Alexandra Daddario, star of the Mayfair Witches, was expecting. She took her time sharing the joyous news, finally unveiling her growing belly in a Vogue photoshoot. To protect her privacy, she also chose not to inform her co-stars on the set of Mayfair Witches, leading her to invent various excuses for any pregnancy-related changes. As it turned out, this secret was one of the most talked-about yet least kept on set, with Alexandra sharing a delightful anecdote about her efforts to conceal her pregnancy from Ben Feldman during filming.

Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, Daddario became part of the Mayfair Witches cast. There, they hinted about the upcoming Season 2 of the show based on Anne Rice’s works. Although there was much to discuss, the conversation eventually shifted to Daddario’s personal announcement – she is pregnant with her husband, Andrew Form. She revealed that she had intended to keep her pregnancy private, but her secret was exposed when Feldman witnessed her vomiting near her trailer. As quoted by People, she said:

On one occasion, I vomited just outside my mobile home, leaving my friend to clean it up with a hose. In a weak voice, I asked, “Could someone fetch me a sandwich, preferably not cold cuts?” My buddy replied, “Are you pregnant?”, to which I retorted, “That’s none of your concern. By the way, bring me some watermelon.”

As a devoted fan, I must confess that this wasn’t the first hint suggesting Daddario’s secret on the set of Superstore. It seemed she had an unusual habit before make-out scenes with her co-star – vomiting prior. Add to that her refusal of turkey sandwiches, and it became quite a challenge to keep her secret under wraps. However, she was grateful for the unwavering support from her fellow actors during filming, making the experience less daunting.

After the secret was revealed, Daddario has taken advantage of her platform to guide other pregnant women dealing with body changes. This transition may be challenging, but it appears that The White Lotus alum seems ready for what’s ahead.

Despite her pregnancy during filming, it’s doubtful that viewers will notice when the second season of Mayfair Witches premieres in 2025. Daddario managed to maintain secrecy about her pregnancy for a while, hinting that she didn’t appear visibly pregnant on screen.

Besides that, contemporary TV series have mastered the art of concealing pregnancies from viewers. For instance, Julie Bowen on “Modern Family” was often seen carrying a laundry basket, while “Scandal” creatively hid Kerry Washington’s pregnancy. It’s uncertain if similar tactics were necessary for Daddario, but her personal life changes are unlikely to impact her character’s storyline in the forthcoming season.

With the news about her pregnancy now out in the open, she can joyfully express her anticipation as she prepares to take on the role of motherhood. Meanwhile, Feldman can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that if Mayfair Witches gets another season, he won’t have to endure any more post-vomit kisses with his co-star. This lighthearted comment stems from affection and eagerness for the Baywatch actress, who is embarking on a new journey in life, and appears to maintain a playful outlook throughout it all.

You’ll have a chance to see Alexandria Daddario in “Mayfair Witches” with an AMC+ subscription. Excited fans of the series should look forward to Season 2 debuting around early 2025. To find out about other enticing shows coming back soon, be sure to check our 2024 TV schedule.
