The Bible-inspired series has just begun filming its fifth installment, following the release of its much anticipated fourth season on Amazon Prime Video.

During the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 24, lasting four hours, a controversial tableau appeared. This display featured drag queens and dancers arranged in a line along a table. Critics argued that this scene was meant to mock Christianity by imitating Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, The Last Supper, which depicts Jesus and his apostles. However, the artistic director of the ceremony later clarified that the tableau was not inspired by the artwork.
