Ryan Reynolds Hints Theres More to Deadpool & Wolverines Thor Scene

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel fan with a soft spot for the fourth wall-breaking antics of Deadpool, I must say that Ryan Reynolds‘ latest tease has me both excited and intrigued. The idea of Deadpool becoming an Avenger and potentially playing a part in the epic saga of Secret Wars is a tantalizing prospect. The fact that Thor, a character I have always held in high regard, seems to be deeply affected by this future event only serves to heighten my curiosity.

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for Deadpool & Wolverine.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement as Ryan Reynolds, our beloved Deadpool, has hinted at unveiling the enigmatic reason behind one of the heart-wrenching moments in Deadpool and Wolverine. In the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, a heartbreaking scene unfurls where a dying Deadpool is cradled by none other than Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. Although the Time Variance Authority’s Mr. Paradox presents images of this tragic event, the reason for Deadpool’s demise and Thor’s emotional response remain unexplained. However, Reynolds has now disclosed that he’s privy to the heart-wrenching truth behind Thor’s tears…and it seems as though it could be an emotionally taxing revelation.

“I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it.”

Reynolds posted a picture on Twitter from a short scene, borrowing footage from Thor: The Dark World and replacing Deadpool with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. This depicts Thor holding Wade as if he were a brother. At the moment, they haven’t crossed paths, but might this tender moment hint at Deadpool’s tragic fate as an Avenger? Could it possibly give us a glimpse of what’s to come when Marvel heroes unite in Avengers: Secret Wars? For now, Reynolds must bear this secretive insight all by himself.

Although Chris Hemsworth, unlike many other Marvel actors, didn’t appear in Deadpool and Wolverine (this is based on previous recordings), he had expressed appreciation for being considered when he talked to Comicbook.com.

“It’s incredibly fascinating! Sometimes, it feels as if I’m unknowingly involved, and then I realize, ‘Wow, that’s amazing! They’re discussing me!’ This entire realm captivates me, and the shared experiences among us make it all the more intriguing.”

Speaking of trauma, many a Wolverine and Logan fan may want to look away now. As well as teasing the reason behind Thor’s emotional scars, Ryan Reynolds has also taken to social media to reveal a new poster for the MCU outing. Taking inspiration from the Oscar-winning cinematic classic Forrest Gump, the new poster finds Deadpool sharing a log with…Wolverine’s corpse. You can check out the new poster below.
