A Vanderpump Rules Star Is The Latest Celebrity To Have Beef With Candace Cameron Bure: 'I Didn't Want To Watch Fuller House'

As a long-time fan of Candace Cameron Bure and her iconic role as DJ Tanner, I have to admit that hearing about her alleged run-ins with various celebrities has left me feeling a tad disappointed. Growing up, I always admired her for her strong character, kindness, and the positive impact she had on millions of viewers through Full House and Fuller House.

It appears that Candace Cameron Bure has had disagreements with multiple well-known celebrities over the past few years, for a variety of reasons. A conflict between her and JoJo Siwa reportedly stemmed from an alleged past encounter, and she also seems to have had issues with Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin, particularly regarding the proposed drag performance at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games opening ceremony. Now, another celebrity has taken issue with Bure, and that person is Scheana Shay from Vanderpump Rules.

In an episode of her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana Shay (aged 39), formerly of Bravo, stated that Candace Cameron Bure (now with Hallmark-turned-GAF) was not very kind when they interacted years ago. This conversation arose following discussions about the aftermath of the Olympics opening ceremony, which Candace found “disgusting.” Shay then shared her experiences with co-host Kiki Monique, detailing how they came to know each other and what their encounter was like supposedly: Scheana Shay recounted her past interaction with Candace Cameron Bure and discussed their alleged lack of kindness towards one another.

As a long-time fan of Full House, I vividly remember my first encounter with Candace Cameron at a celebrity event during the early Vanderpump days, around Season 2. Growing up, I admired DJ Tanner and was thrilled to finally meet her in person. However, she seemed rather unapproachable, almost as if I wasn’t worthy of her attention due to my lack of fame or importance. It felt like a harsh reminder that celebrities aren’t always the warm and friendly figures they portray on television. But alas, such experiences can serve as valuable lessons in life – sometimes, even our idols may disappoint us, but it’s essential to remain respectful and maintain our own self-worth.

From listening to the reality TV veteran’s remarks (available on YouTube), it seems their encounter didn’t go well, as it made her disinclined to watch the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star’s popular sitcom she previously enjoyed.

I hadn’t felt inclined to watch Fuller House, mostly due to that particular encounter with [Bure]. Throughout my life, I’ve come across numerous celebrities and actors, but only a few have ever left an unpleasant impression on me. Bure was one of those, while another time I met Amanda Bynes has made me think, ‘She truly deserves all the kindness in the world.’ In contrast, I’ve found that most other famous people I’ve met – even Kim Kardashian – have been incredibly kind and humble.

At present, Candace Cameron Bure hasn’t commented on Scheana Shay’s statements, leaving many curious about a potential conversation between the two. It’s plausible that such an interaction could occur given that Bure has engaged in dialogue with JoJo Siwa during their reported disagreement.
