Interestingly, throughout his career, he’s been involved in relatively few kissing scenes. Intriguingly, when asked about this, he shared that he avoids such scenes for a unique reason.

Samuel L. Jackson is famous for portraying suave, quick-witted characters who aren’t shy about using strong language when dealing with firepower. However, over the course of hundreds of films he’s been in, he hasn’t often played a romantic lead. As per his own account, by 2017, he hadn’t shared many on-screen kisses, such as the one he had with Salma Hayek, who played his partner in the action-packed movie “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.”
In a recent interview with Irish News, during which he and Salma Hayek were promoting their new movie, he mentioned that they had discussed this topic earlier in the day. Specifically, he reminded her that she is among only a handful of women (approximately five) he has ever kissed on-screen. He added that these experiences feel novel for him since they don’t occur frequently, making each encounter somewhat of an exciting exploration.
However, the actor openly shares that he steers clear of love scenes due to their discomfort: they are awkward. He explained this to Howard Stern, stating, “You inquire beforehand, ‘Where can I touch you? Where should I not touch you?’ Then you apologize for both situations. ‘I’m sorry if I get too excited,’ and, ‘I’m sorry if I don’t.’ Sometimes, it simply doesn’t work out,” he added.
