Sanjay Dutt breaks silence on his UK visa being rejected for Son of Sardaar 2: ‘They need to rectify this’

As a long-time admirer of Sanjay Dutt’s career and resilience, it is disheartening to see yet another setback in his professional journey. His recent predicament with the UK visa for Son Of Sardaar 2 is not only disappointing but also baffling given his extensive body of work and clean record since his release from prison.

Recently, news broke out about Sanjay Dutt being removed from Ajay Devgn’s film Son Of Sardaar 2, allegedly due to the denial of his UK visa. Now, Sanjay himself has spoken up on the matter, stating that he believes the UK government made an incorrect decision.

Speaking with Bombay Times, I, Sanjay Dutt, expressed my disappointment over a recent decision. I expressed that the UK Government has made an error in judgement. “First, they granted me a Visa. Everything was set for my visit to the United Kingdom. Then, unexpectedly, they cancelled my Visa! I provided them with all the necessary documents and everything else required. I’m puzzled as to why they issued the Visa initially if they knew it would not comply with their laws? They should not have granted me the visa in the first place. It seems that it took them a month to realize their own regulations.”

Additionally, rumors emerged suggesting that Sanjay was swapped with Ravi Kishan in the movie, and his role is now limited to a brief appearance. However, when asked for comment regarding these reports, the actor remained silent and feigned ignorance about the alleged changes.

Sanjay Dutt clarified that he had no regrets about not being involved in the project, given the ongoing disturbances in the area. He stated, “I’m not skipping anything. However, they made a mistake, one that needs to be corrected. I am a law-abiding individual who follows rules and respects the laws of every nation.”

In “Son of Sardaar 2,” Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were initially set to reprise their characters, Billu and Jassi respectively. However, it was speculated that instead of continuing from where the original movie ended, the sequel might opt to begin anew with a fresh storyline.

Previously, it was exclusively disclosed by a source to TopMob that the upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2 will feature well-known actors such as Vijay Raaz, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar in significant roles, beyond the lead actors.
