John Abraham says journalist was ‘planted' to rile him up at Vedaa trailer launch: ‘No one is asking right questions’

As a die-hard fan of John Abraham, I must say his fiery spirit and unapologetic nature are what truly captivate me. From his humble beginnings to his meteoric rise in Bollywood, he’s never been one to back down from a challenge or let anyone undermine his worth.

Actor John Abraham is eagerly anticipating the premiere of his upcoming movie Vedaa, but a heated argument with an entertainment reporter during the film’s trailer unveiling has caused some controversy. When asked about continuing to take on similar roles, John referred to the journalist as “unintelligent.” In a subsequent interview, he explained that the journalist’s actions justified his response. He also alleged that this journalist was purposefully placed to provoke him and they were asking irrelevant questions.

During a chat with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, John disclosed that he thought someone intentionally provoked and irritated him at an event. Admittedly, this approach was effective as it made him angry. He clarified that it had been a while since he attended a press conference, so he felt rusty and out of practice.

In a recent statement, the actor known for Dhoom films voiced his disapproval towards trailer launch events, deeming them outdated and evocative of a time two decades ago. He criticized the monotonous nature of the questions posed by journalists in India, suggesting that they should focus on more insightful queries rather than asking what he perceives as irrelevant questions.

The actor confided that he thought the individual who grilled him about his latest movie selections was probably trying to bait him for a response. He surmised that this person had been instructed by someone in authority to instigate him, knowing it would generate controversy. However, the actor conceded that he responded impulsively in the heat of the moment, feeling remorseful because he deemed himself beyond such confrontations. Nevertheless, he admitted that while the person might have warranted his reaction, he swiftly regained composure and shifted his focus back to himself within a minute.

At the gathering, the reporter inquired from the actor about his continuous preference for action movies, implying a change might be beneficial. This seemed to annoy Abraham, who retorted bluntly, asking if the journalist had watched the movie Vedaa, and doubting whether he could criticize poor questions and those who pose them.

Afterward, he recommended the journalist to take a look at the movie prior to forming opinions, mentioning that post-viewing, the journalist was free to express their thoughts. Yet, he cautioned that if the journalist’s evaluation proved incorrect, he would react firmly.

John shared that during his professional journey, numerous individuals attempted to sabotage his success. He recollected a specific instance where a movie publication released an issue titled “John Abraham: Finished,” featuring him prominently on the cover. He pointed out that several distributors, cinema owners, producers, and fellow actors had concurred with this magazine’s assertion.

It turns out that the person who previously made that statement is now acting as John’s producer. When John inquired about this decision, the producer acknowledged that he harbored resentment towards John and didn’t want him to prosper, without offering any particular explanation.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but rave about the gripping narrative of “Vedaa.” This tale masterfully unfolds the struggle of John Abraham’s character, Abhimanyu, who finds himself under the iron grip of an oppressive system. The heart of this story revolves around Vedaa, brilliantly played by Sharvari, a beacon of hope in her tireless fight against systemic injustices. Fortunately for us viewers, John’s character lends his support to Vedaa in her noble quest.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can confidently say that this upcoming film is an electrifying action-thriller that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Not only does it boast jaw-dropping stunts from its leading stars, but it also brings in the talents of Tamannaah Bhatia, Mouni Roy, and Abhishek Banerjee to amp up the tension. Mark your calendars for August 15, 2024, as this cinematic masterpiece will be gracing the big screen!
