Having been an avid follower of both parties’ collaborations in recent years, I can confidently say that this is a match made in sneaker heaven.

One of several international brands, known as CAYL (Climb As You Love), has been collaborating closely with New Balance in recent times, expanding their global reach. Most recently, they joined forces last autumn to outfit the 610 and Fresh Foam X More Trail v3 with outdoor-suitable color schemes. Now, they’ve shifted their focus to the 1906R model.
I’ve only had a glimpse of the 1906R from South Korean label for about a month now, all dressed up in a snazzy teal, gray, and black ensemble. Now, they’re showing off another colorway – a vibrant “Yellow” edition! The upper boasts ripstop and synthetic details, with a yellow base that sports crisp white linework and rich brown overlays. Black accents the lacing system, outsole, logos on each side, and even the mountain logo at the lateral heel. Can’t wait to get my hands on this energetic pair!
Currently, neither CAYL nor New Balance have officially disclosed their upcoming project with the 1906R. However, BSTN has shared that they will be launching a “Yellow” color variant on August 22 at 6pm EDT, priced at $180 USD. Keep an eye out for further announcements as we anticipate the blue version to follow in the near future.
