When Shraddha Kapoor rejected THIS Salman Khan movie at 16 which could have been her big debut

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I can’t help but admire the journey of Shraddha Kapoor. From being offered her debut film at 16 opposite Salman Khan to becoming an overnight sensation with Aashiqui 2 and then consistently delivering successful projects, her story is truly inspiring.

Shraddha Kapoor initially got her first film offer at age 16, which was opposite Salman Khan for the movie “Lucky: No Time For Love” in 2005. However, the part ended up being played by Sneha Ullal instead. This factoid was shared by Kapoor herself during an interview with Hindustan Times.

Shraddha openly stated that her dream had always been to become an actress, but she chose to forego early acting offers in order to prioritize her education. In her own words, “At 15 or 16, I felt that I was too young and wanted to complete my schooling and attend college. I don’t believe that those initial opportunities determined my success later on. However, it was challenging to decline them and instead focus on my studies given the amazing opportunity to work alongside Salman Khan.”

Starting two films after her first role, Shraddha Kapoor shone in the influential romantic musical Aashiqui 2, a film that significantly altered the trajectory of her career. Almost immediately, she became a national sensation, and from that moment on, her rise to stardom has been unstoppable. Over the past ten years, Kapoor has appeared in numerous successful productions such as Chhichhore, Saaho, Stree, ABCD 2, Ek Villain, Baaghi 3, Street Dancer 3D, and others.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement as I follow Shraddha Kapoor’s journey with the sequel of her blockbuster horror-comedy franchise, Stree 2. In mere days since its release, it’s already smashed the Rs 100 crore mark! The masterful Amar Kaushik directs this film, and alongside Shraddha, we have Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana bringing their exceptional talents to the fore. I can hardly wait for its theatrical run to conclude so I can stream this cinematic gem on Prime Video!

In a recent interview with TopMob, Haseena Parkar’s actress Shraddha expressed her approach to handling online negativity by saying, “I place my faith in their affection for me. If you have that, then you’re truly fortunate in life. The audience is the backbone of films. They are the rulers, and I strive to keep them entertained and content with what I present.”

Stree 2 currently running successfully in theatres near you.
