Shraddha Kapoor is making news for positive reasons these days. Her recent film, Stree 2 directed by Amar Kaushik, has been causing quite a stir at the box office and has proven to be a substantial financial success. The movie also includes Varun Dhawan in a brief appearance. Interestingly, Shraddha shared an old memory where she had proposed to Varun during their childhood days, but he declined her offer.

In a candid chat with Subhankar Mishra, Shraddha Kapoor revisited her childhood days and told a funny incident about how she had a crush on the Baby John actor. The Stree 2 actress said, “Hum humare dads ke shoot pe gaye the. Mujhe bachpan me Varun pe chhota sa crush tha (We had joined our dad during one of their shoots. As a kid, I had a small crush on Varun).”

During our playtime, we ascended to the mountain peak. I told Varun, “I’ll speak in reverse, and you need to understand its meaning.” I said, “You love I.” He answered, “I don’t fancy women.” And then he swiftly ran away.

In the horror-comedy world, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan play Stree and Bhediya respectively. Fans adored their romantic dynamic, particularly in the song Khoobsurat from Stree 2, and have expressed a desire to see them co-star in a romantic film together. Previously, these two actors have collaborated on projects such as ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D under the Maddock Films’ banner.

In terms of work, Varun Dhawan is getting ready for the release of Citadel in November 2024 and Baby John in December 2024. Additionally, he’s begun filming a comedy drama with his father, David Dhawan. Meanwhile, he has Bhediya 2 and Border 2 lined up. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor appears to be quite selective about her script choices, as she hasn’t yet revealed her upcoming release schedule.
