As a seasoned Bollywood enthusiast with over three decades of following the industry, I must say that the rumors surrounding Shraddha Kapoor joining Krrish 4 have been as elusive as the elusive superhero himself! However, it seems like we’re no closer to finding out who will don the cape next.
Shraddha Kapoor’s current fame stems from the success of her latest horror-comedy release, Stree 2. Rumors about her next project, possibly starring alongside Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 4, have been buzzing around. However, recent updates indicate that those reports were untrue and casting for the film has not yet begun.
According to a reliable insider, “Krrish 4 is shaping up to be India’s most ambitious superhero production, with pre-production in high gear. The creative team is currently refining the script before moving forward. Contrary to speculation, there have been no casting decisions made as of yet.”
Currently, Hrithik Roshan is engrossed in shooting for the sequel of his 2019 movie “War.” In this upcoming film, he’ll share screen space with Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. The production company YRF intends to release it on Independence Day 2025. Following that, Roshan will appear as Alia Bhatt’s mentor in another YRF project titled “Alpha.” This female-centric spy thriller also features Sharvari, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in significant roles, and filming has already begun.
Speaking about the Krrish franchise, it started with “Koi Mil Gaya” released in 2003, where the plot revolved around a man with developmental delays who gained superpowers after forming a bond with an alien. Notable actors like Preity Zinta and Rekha played significant roles. The sequel, “Krrish,” followed in 2006, focusing on this man’s son inheriting his powers and using them to fight evil as a superhero.
Originally played by Preity, the role was taken over by Priyanka Chopra in this series, who later appeared in Krrish 3 – a continuation of the story. Vivek Oberoi also joined the cast in the third installment. The first three parts were all successful, leading to speculation about a fourth part after over a decade.
