As a gamer with a soft spot for both movies and comic book heroes, I must admit that hearing about Halle Berry‘s interest in reprising her role as Catwoman sends a rush of nostalgia down my spine. Twenty years ago, I was just starting to explore the vast universe of gaming, and the release of Catwoman was a significant event for me – not as a gamer, but as a fan of the dark alleys of Gotham City.
Back in the day, approximately twenty years ago, I remember watching Catwoman on the big screen, with Halle Berry donning the iconic role. Despite its infamous box office failure, it seems that even after two decades, Berry is expressing enthusiasm for another Catwoman adventure, potentially a sequel.
On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” I found myself reminiscing about the revitalized impact of that iconic movie, as it continues to resonate with today’s viewers.
“Berry expressed her satisfaction as the children discovered the thing online and took a liking to it. She felt validated by their positive response since they consider it cool, leaving her wondering why there were issues about it in the first place.”
When asked about potentially returning as Catwoman, the actress hinted, “Perhaps, if I were given the chance to direct it. Perhaps.”
Previously, Berry had expressed interest in directing Catwoman 2. During her promotional activities for Bruised in 2021, she shared her plans to reinterpret the Catwoman storyline, with the character taking on a role of saving the world, much like other conventional superhero narratives.
