As a dedicated follower of the captivating world of Bollywood, I have had the immense pleasure of witnessing the remarkable journey of Dia Mirza Rekhi, from her beginnings in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein to her latest role in IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. However, it is not just her professional life that has caught my attention; it’s the beautiful story of her personal life that truly resonates with me.

Dia Mirza Rekhi, renowned for her roles in films like Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, is celebrating her husband Vaibhav Rekhi’s birthday with happiness and affection. She posted unseen pictures of the couple on social media along with a touching message showcasing her pride and love. The message read, “Take some time to appreciate yourself more. You truly deserve it as you work tirelessly.”

Today on Instagram (August 21), Dia Mirza Rekhi celebrated her husband’s birthday with a touching tribute. In her heartfelt post, she wrote, “Happy Birthday, my dear Husband! You consistently appear for those you cherish and for countless others… bringing joy, expressing your enthusiasm, happiness, and making the world a more compassionate place.” She also reminded him to take time to acknowledge himself, recognizing his dedication. Her message echoed deep love, pride in the exceptional individual he is, highlighting their strong relationship and appreciation.

Dia Mirza Rekhi posted a series of pictures on social media to celebrate the event. The initial snapshot shows Vaibhav Rekhi donning sunglasses and posing while boating. In the second picture, it looks like Dia is giving him a warm hug during what seems like a safari adventure, with Vaibhav capturing the moment with a camera. The photo collection includes a throwback image of her stepdaughter Samaira with Vaibhav, a picture of her son Avyaan together with him, and ends with a family snapshot where they all appear united.

Previously, during an interview with News18, Dia revealed that her stepdaughter Samaira affectionately addresses her by her given name because she already has a mother whom she refers to as ‘mumma’ or ‘mom’. This habit has occasionally influenced Dia’s three-year-old son, Avyaan, who also calls her ‘Dia.’ Dia emphasized that she does not expect Samaira to address her as ‘maa’ or ‘mumma,’ and explained that there are no such expectations since Samaira already has a mother whom she addresses in this manner. She added that sometimes Avyaan even refers to her as ‘Dia mom.’

In terms of her work, Dia Mirza is gearing up for an appearance in the eagerly awaited series titled “IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.” This series recounts the true story of the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight IC 814 and boasts a talented ensemble including Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Arvind Swamy, Pankaj Kapur, and Patralekhaa. Anubhav Sinha, renowned for his powerful dramas like Mulk, Thappad, Article 15, and Bheed, is helming this mini-series, which represents his debut in the OTT world. “IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack” is set to make its debut on Netflix India on August 29.
