As a die-hard fan of action comedies and a connoisseur of diverse castings, I am absolutely thrilled to see Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, and Stephen Root joining forces for “The Wrecking Crew”!
Actor Temuera Morrison, famous for his role as Boba Fett in the Star Wars series, and Spider-Man’s Jacob Batalon have teamed up with Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa for a comedic action film titled The Wrecking Crew, which is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
Besides Claes Bang, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, and Stephen Root have all been added to the team lineup as well.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share my excitement for a captivating tale penned by Jonathan Tropper. The story revolves around myself and my long-lost half-brother duo: one, a rogue cop (Momoa), and the other, a disciplined Navy SEAL (Bautista). After two decades of animosity, our paths cross again in Hawaii, where we’re compelled to join forces to unveil the truth behind our father’s mysterious demise. The intrigue surrounding this conspiracy only adds fuel to my anticipation for this cinematic adventure!
Morrison takes on the role as Hawaii’s governor, while Batalon portrays a shrewd, vulgar private investigator with a past connection to the brothers’ father.
Lynn Harris from Idaho’s 6th position, along with Matt Reeves, Bautista, Momoa, and Jeffrey Fierson are all involved in the production.
Morrison has portrayed multiple clones in different Star Wars films, starred as the lead in The Book of Boba Fett series on Disney+, collaborated with Momoa on both Aquaman movies, and is managed by Third Hill Entertainment and Robert Bruce Agency from New Zealand.
In the Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man films, Ned Leeds, played by Batalon, shared screen time with Tom Holland as Peter Parker’s friend. Additionally, he appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He was a key player in the profitable horror movie Tarot from Screen Gems, and starred as the main character while also executive producing the series Reginald the Vampire for SyFy and Hulu. His agency representation includes IAG and Brecheen Feldman.
In the upcoming live-action version of Disney’s Moana, Adams will portray Sina, a determined mother character. Previously, she has appeared in shows such as The Expanse and Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins. She is represented by Johnson and Laird, Brave Artists Management, and attorney Jeff Hynick.
Miyavi is a musician who has released 13 studio albums as a singer-songwriter. He first appeared in films with an Oscar nomination for “Unbroken,” directed by Angelina Jolie. Since then, he’s been featured in productions like “Kong: Skull Island” from Legendary, the animated series “Arcane” on Netflix, the movie “Kate,” and Disney’s “Maleficent 2.” He is represented by CAA, Debut Management, and LaPolt Law.
Root’s acting portfolio spans across various genres, from beloved sitcoms like “Newsradio” in the 90s to recent hits such as “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, “Fargo”, and “Barry”. His voice has been featured for 13 seasons on “King of the Hill”. He is represented by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
