John Abraham claims to be 'proud' of Vedaa co-starring Sharvari despite its box office debacle: 'People will find things to complain about..'

As someone who has followed John Abraham‘s career for quite some time now, it’s fascinating to see his unwavering dedication towards his craft and the messages he chooses to convey through his films. Vedaa, despite its lukewarm response at the box office, is a testament to his courage in taking on bold and thought-provoking narratives.

In a recent conversation with Radio City, John Abraham spoke about the disappointing performance of Nikkhil Advani’s Vedaa at the box office. Although the movie garnered mixed-to-positive reviews, it struggled to compete against Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein in a three-way contest. Despite this setback, Abraham remains proud of his film.

When queried about the film Vedaa’s less-than-expected response, John expressed his viewpoint that the movie was courageous and chose to be a part of it because he had admired director Nikkhil after Batla House. In essence, he emphasized that the significance of a film lies not in its success or failure, but in the message it conveys. Despite the seriousness of the topic, they attempted to make it engaging for the audience.

John mentioned that if someone prefers not to delve into deep topics, it’s entirely their preference, which he acknowledges and appreciates. However, he emphasized that these subjects are inevitable and must be confronted eventually. Abraham expressed his sense of pride in creating a remarkable film on the topic.

The performer admitted that it’s common to feel remorseful and downhearted when a movie fails to meet commercial expectations. However, regarding Vedaa, he believes the entire crew essentially nailed it.

As a devoted follower, I’d express it like this: “I’m incredibly proud of the exceptional work our team has delivered in every aspect, from the captivating cinematography to the gripping action sequences. Naturally, some may find fault with the screenplay, and that’s completely understandable. We value everyone’s perspective. But what makes me most satisfied is that we’ve managed to create a good film. And above all, my focus remains on being part of commercially successful projects.”

In the course of his acting career, the actor has experienced both successes and failures, with some films performing exceptionally well and others falling short of expectations. For instance, Pathaan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, was a massive hit at the box office. However, movies such as Attack: Part 1, Mumbai Saga, and Ek Villain Returns did not fare as well. In the upcoming period, John is scheduled to appear in The Diplomat, Tehran, and Tariq.

As a devoted follower, I’d like to share some insights about the movie I recently watched. Unlike others, this film, titled “Vedaa,” was collaboratively brought to life by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment. Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi graced the screen in significant roles. This high-octane flick is rumored to be inspired by real-life occurrences.
