Deadpool & Wolverine Deleted Scene Reveals the Fate of Channing Tatums Gambit

As a movie critic who grew up in the heart of Cajun country, I can’t help but feel a special connection to Gambit. The swagger, the charm, and that distinctive accent – it all takes me back to my roots in Mississippi. So, let me tell you, y’all, when I heard about this latest twist in Gambit’s tale, I couldn’t contain my excitement!

In the film Deadpool & Wolverine, fans were curious to know if Channing Tatum’s character, Gambit, managed to survive the events of the MCU sequel. After battling Casandra Nova in the Void, both Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) successfully escaped from the TVA’s prison with the aim of saving Deadpool’s timeline. Unfortunately, Gambit, Blade (Wesley Snipes), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), and Laura (Dafne Keen) were left behind. The movie concluded by showing that Laura was liberated from the Void, but the fate of the other trapped heroes remained unclear. Since then, fans have scrutinized the movie’s post-credits scene in detail to ascertain whether Gambit is still alive. Recently, a deleted scene has surfaced, shedding more light on the matter.

Ryan Reynolds shared a sneak peek on Twitter of previously cut scenes featuring Gambit, where he’s strolling around Cassandra Nova’s facility post-battle. As the camera moves upward from the fallen bodies to reveal Gambit’s face, he flashes a grin towards the heavens, hinting that we might see more of this character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As a die-hard Gambit fan, I can’t wait for you all to watch the entire video that lies ahead. The cheers and jubilance it’s bound to inspire among us fans is something I can hardly contain!

In addition to his social media post, Reynolds confirmed that Gambit is indeed still living. The video he shared offers a clearer perspective of the footage that enthusiasts scrutinized from the post-credit sequence. Reynolds stated this in his post.

The movie features a depiction of that particular series, displayed on one of the less prominent screens tucked away in the TVA.

Channing Tatum Is Worryingly Desperate to Play Gambit Again in the Future

Channing Tatum’s affection for the character Gambit is strong and heartfelt. As a child, he admired this X-Men figure greatly, especially since he grew up amidst the Cajun community in Mississippi, which influenced his distinctive accent in the film. For quite some time, Tatum was committed to play Gambit in a solo movie, but unfortunately, after enduring years of delays, the project was abandoned when Disney acquired the rights to these characters from Fox in 2019.

As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I can’t help but express my eagerness for another chance to embody the unpredictable Gambit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the ambiguous ending of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ In true Gambit fashion, I’m not afraid to pull out all the stops and even resort to a bit of mischief to make this dream a reality. In my own words: “I’ll bend, break, or rewrite rules to get back into that card-tossing, Cajun persona again!”

“I’d go to great lengths, even if it meant doing harmful acts, to see a Gambit film come to life.”

Although it’s not certain when Gambit will make his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there are definite plans for more multiverse chaos ahead. Even though the Gambit movie hasn’t been officially approved by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Channing Tatum shared that Feige is keen on incorporating the character into the main MCU at some point in the future. As per Tatum, this is what he stated:

“I adore Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind Marvel Studios. Recently, he shared that he has deep affection for Gambit but isn’t certain about how to bring him into their current projects effectively. He mentioned needing some time to figure out the perfect approach, and it seems they’ve made some progress on that front.”
