Lately, Brain Dead has been keeping its adidas shoes in storage, but it’s recently teamed up with adidas for the first time to create a collaborative bowling shoe. This was followed by a couple of updated versions of the Stan Smith, which were released in very limited quantities. Now, Kyle Ng’s label is reconnecting with the footwear brand for more Stan Smith designs, this time unveiling four fresh color options.
As I unboxed these latest Stan Smith kicks from Brain Dead, I was immediately struck by their vibrant colors – Vapour Pink, Shadow Green, Clear Brown, and Light Bahia Blue. It’s a departure from their recent “Unstructured” editions that came in black and white colorways. Like previous versions, Brain Dead has stamped its branding on the upper, with its perforated logo on the side. But what sets these apart is the turf-like detailing at the back of the heel – a signature move from Brain Dead. The distressed details also extend to the laces, adding a unique touch to these colorful sneakers.
