Oprah Winfrey is set to lead a special program on ABC called “AI and the Future of Us: An Oprah Winfrey Special” on September 12. During this discussion, she’ll converse with notable figures in the artificial intelligence industry such as Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, Sam Altman from OpenAI, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and a few voices expressing skepticism about AI.
This evening’s special, lasting an hour, marks the second one Oprah has hosted this year. Earlier in March, she moderated a conversation centered around weight loss and overall wellness, focusing on the growing popularity of weight-loss medications such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Wegovy.
Besides Gates, Altman, and Wray, this special will also include interviews with popular tech vlogger Marcus Brownlee, as well as Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin, co-founders of the Center for Humane Technology who express concerns about AI becoming too dominant too quickly.
