Originally produced by Raj and DK, Farzi made headlines as India’s most-watched Hindi web series of all time. Boasting an impressive cast including Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Bhuvan Arora, the crime thriller has generated significant interest with its first season. The creators have announced that Farzi- Season 2 is in development for a future release, as confirmed by lead actor Shahid last year. Recently, Bhuvan Arora, who portrayed Shahid’s friend in Farzi, revealed an update on the upcoming season. Bhuvan, also known as Firoz, shared that “the writers’ room is active”.

In a recent interview on YouTube’s Digital Commentary, Bhuvan Arora shared some insights about the progress of Farzi 2. He mentioned that the project is currently in its initial stages of production.

“Bhuvan confirmed, ‘Yes, it’s definitely happening. Though we haven’t made an announcement yet, the writers room is currently in operation. Everyone seems to be engrossed in their work right now.'”

In addition, Bhuvan spoke about his time collaborating with notable actors such as Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in the Raj & DK series. He praised Vijay for being an exceptional performer, while he described Shahid as a delightful artist.

Additionally, he expressed high regard for Kay Kay Menon, likening his acting abilities to the beauty and elegance of roses, stating that in his presence, he himself feels as delicate and captivating as an orchid.

Back in 2023, I had the privilege of attending a Masterclass by TopMob, where Shahid Kapoor shared exciting news about Farzi 2. He expressed his gratitude for the incredible response the first season received, which has prompted the creation of a sequel. Given that the initial season ended on an open note, there’s plenty of room for more captivating storylines in this series.

Starting from February 10, 2023, the initial installment of Farzi unfolded over eight captivating episodes, featuring the talents of Rashii Khanna, Regina Cassandra, and Manoj Bajpayee on screen.
