On August 20th, Sandler premiered his latest Netflix comedy special in New York City, joined by director Josh Safdie, a previous collaborator on the film “Uncut Gems”.
The Crow premiere
Actor Bill Skarsgård and musician FKA Twigs graced the red carpet at the New York premiere of their latest adaptation of “The Crow” on August 20th. This event was later followed by a party held by Lionsgate, TikTok, and SSENSE.
Only Murders in the Building premiere
As the fourth season of the popular Hulu comedy series makes its way to Los Angeles, lead actors Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and Meryl Streep all attended the premiere on the Paramount studio lot on August 22nd.
1992 premiere
As a gamer, I was thrilled to hear about the star-studded premiere of “1992” held in L.A. on Tuesday night. I felt like I was part of the action as EP Snoop Dogg and stars Tyrese Gibson and Scott Eastwood graced the red carpet! It was even more exciting when Gibson’s Fast & Furious family, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, showed up to lend their support. Truly an unforgettable gaming night!
The Deliverance premiere
On Wednesday, Andra Day, Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, and Demi Singleton attended the Los Angeles premiere of their latest Netflix production, accompanied by director Lee Daniels.
Cinespia’s Kirsten Dunst Slumber Party
On August 17th, I was thrilled to attend Cinespia’s annual Slumber Party, an extraordinary event where I got to watch a unique double feature under the stars. The lineup included “Bring it On” and “The Virgin Suicides”, both screened at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. To make the night even more special, Kirsten Dunst graced us with a surprise introduction! It was an unforgettable experience that I won’t forget anytime soon.
Sag Harbor Cinema’s Voyager Award
On August 17th, Naomi Watts was honored as the inaugural recipient of Sag Harbor Cinema’s Voyager Award. This annual event unfolded at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club, graced by attendees such as Blythe Danner and Katie Lee Biegel.
The Crow parties
Lionsgate organized gothic-themed events, complete with live DJs and drag shows, for the promotion of ‘The Crow’ in both New York City and Los Angeles.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard: A Tale of Two Dirtys premiere
The neighborhood of Tribeca held the New York debuts for both “Ol’ Dirty Bastard: A Tale of Two Dirtys” and “Strange Darling”. The former event was attended by Young Dirty Bastard, Icelene Jones, directors Sam and Jason Pollard, while the latter screening had director JT Mollner in attendance alongside stars Willa Fitzgerald and Giovanni Ribisi.
Reagan premiere
At the Los Angeles premiere on August 20th, Dennis Quaid, portraying Ronald Reagan in the latest movie, was accompanied by his fellow actors Penelope Ann Miller, Jon Voight, David Henrie, Kevin Dillon, and Sean McNamara.
Incoming event
On August 20th, Netflix held an exuberant gathering akin to a house party, celebrating the release of the high school comedy titled Incoming. The event was graced by directors Dave and John Chernin, along with several members from the cast: Mason Thames, Ramon Reed, Raphael Alejandro, Bardia Seiri, Isabella Ferreira, Loren Gray, Ali Gallo, and Kayvan Shai.
Rescue: HI-Surf Screening
Producer Eric Pfeiffer and director John Wells participated in a preview and discussion for the autumn drama series “Rescue: Hi-Surf” on August 20, hosted by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
Blink Twice special screening
Zoë Kravitz carried on showcasing her directorial first-timer’s effort by hosting screenings at Metrograph and Le Dive, both located in New York City.
Reasonable Doubt tastemaker event
The creator and managers of “Reasonable Doubt”, Raamla Mohammed, Larry Wilmore, Anton Cropper, and Pilar Savone, were present for a pre-release screening of the season two opener at Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles, along with several influential figures from the entertainment industry.

On a special day, casting director Joel Thurm hosted a book signing event at The Drama Book Shop for his memoir. Unexpectedly, Paul Shaffer made an appearance there too.

This is About Humanity Soirée
6 years ago, the charity event “This Is About Humanity” was held on a Saturday, raising funds for the TIAH collective food-relief kitchen in collaboration with Foundacion Tijuana Sin Hambre, ICF, and the Immigrant Defenders Law Center. The latter provides free legal representation to vulnerable populations at the Tijuana/US border region, supports hot meal services through ICF, and manages the This is About Humanity Binational Fund for ICF. The star-studded event took place at Henry Winkler’s residence, with attendees including Eva Longoria, Jordana Brewster, Julianne Hough, MJ Rodriguez, Xochitl Gomez, and Sasha Calle.
