This young talent has proven her mettle not just once, but twice with her work on the much-loved “High Fidelity“. It’s puzzling why shows with dedicated audiences and high praise often get cancelled, but regardless, “High Fidelity” defied expectations.
It seems that the secret ingredient in this equation was passion for the project and an understanding of the source material, as Kravitz explained:
Additionally, both the movie and the book hold a special place in my heart, so I approached them with great attention to detail, as I’m equally passionate about Nick Hornby and his universe.
I’m curious if the significant success of “High Fidelity” may have contributed to the approval of “Blink Twice,” initially known as “Pussy Island,” at MGM. This is because Zoë Kravitz and her writing partner, E.T. Feigenbaum, had been trying to get their movie produced long before “High Fidelity” was even in development. However, by the time they received the greenlight, the Hulu series had already aired. It’s yet another example of how the film industry can be mysterious and how projects often find themselves stuck in development limbo.
