As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the film industry, I must say that the upcoming collaboration between Director Ali Abbas Zafar and Aditya Chopra’s YRF banner is an exciting development! With their previous four successful projects under their belt, it seems like a homecoming of sorts for Ali to return to his ‘alma mater.’
Director Ali Abbas Zafar appears to be planning a collaboration with Aditya Chopra’s YRF production company. Following his last movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, it seems that the skilled director will team up with Chopra for several high-budget, large-scale projects.
Ali Abbas Zafar has previously worked with YRF Productions on four films: Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai. It’s said that the director is considering returning to work under Aditya Chopra’s production company in the near future.
According to a source speaking with Variety, they are thrilled about the project’s progress, having worked together on four previous occasions. This source likened the collaboration to the director returning to their old educational institution. Moreover, this source hinted at future projects being theater screenings.
“There’s a strong possibility that Ali will achieve even greater success as he works creatively with Aditya Chopra on several large-scale movies for Yash Raj Films (YRF). The specific projects that Ali will direct for YRF have not been finalized yet, but it can be confirmed that they will be original theatrical productions.”
Significantly, in a private conversation with TopMob earlier this April, Ali Abbas Zafar hinted at future collaborations with Katrina Kaif. He affirmed their plans to work together on the project “Super Soldier,” saying, “Indeed, the script is complete. Katrina and I have been discussing it. We actually spoke just two days ago. Following the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, we will definitely meet up.” Additionally, Ali mentioned that Katrina is currently traveling, and he intends to work with her once she returns.
Nevertheless, there seems to be no recent chatter regarding the subject. Yet, it’s intriguing to learn more about Ali’s forthcoming collaboration with YRF.
Ali Abbas Zafar first stepped into directing with the movie “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,” featuring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Ali Zafar. This was followed by his production of “Gunday” in 2014, starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, and Arjun Kapoor. His third project as a director was “Tiger Zinda Hai,” released in 2017 and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Ali’s latest film, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as the main characters, failed to perform well at the movie theaters.
