After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s failure, Tiger Shroff’s big-budget action thriller Hero No. 1 shelved? Here’s what we know

The shelving of Hero No. 1, after it had already begun production, is undoubtedly a setback in the actor’s career trajectory.

At the moment, Tiger Shroff is encountering some difficulties in his career. Most recently, he appeared with Akshay Kumar in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. As per recent news, it appears that the actor is facing challenges as the production of his upcoming movie, Hero No. 1, has temporarily stopped.

2022 saw TopMob alerting you about Tiger Shroff’s upcoming movie, titled “Hero No. 1,” which was set to be helmed by Jagan Shakti, the director of Mission Mangal, and produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani. This film was initially billed as a high-budget action-adventure. Regrettably, due to his recent box office flops with Heropanti 2, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, it’s been rumored that Tiger Shroff’s Hero No. 1 has been postponed or possibly even canceled.

The film Hero No. 1 was set to complete 80% of its shooting according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, with the remaining portions planned after the April release of BMCM. However, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial ended up being a significant financial disappointment for Pooja Entertainment, run by Bhagnani.

According to a source, they’re deeply in debt and can’t afford to finance Hero No. 1, so the project might not move forward. Meanwhile, director Jagan Shakti has shifted focus to his next venture – an adventure film starring Ajay Devgn, which is slated to start production under Luv Ranjan’s banner in December this year.

In simpler terms, an industry insider described this recent turn of events as a significant setback for the actor, given the cancellation of projects like Screw Dheela and Rambo which were initially planned but never started filming. On the contrary, Hero No. 1 was filmed but has since been halted indefinitely.

The expert added that despite the actor’s last three movies being major failures, he still demands high pay. He noted that even Tiger’s entourage expenses have left producers out of pocket. However, with Baaghi 4 coming up, there’s an opportunity for him to make amends and recover.

Beyond just Tiger, the movie was initially intended to star Disha Patani and Pashmina Roshan in prominent roles. It was reported that they planned to film parts of this production overseas in Europe, utilizing an international team specializing in action sequences.
