“She confided in Cosmo that she adores Britney Spears’ assistant, expressing her heartfelt ambition to portray Britney. It’s just a rumor for now, but she secretly hopes it might become reality. She recalled an instance where she spent hours in her room, engrossed in ‘In the Zone’, promising herself not to leave until she had memorized every lyric.”
Roberts, similar to numerous millennials, was a devoted fan of Britney during her upbringing. This affection for the pop sensation has endured over time and manifested in her role as a parent. She confided to Cosmo that she often sings Britney’s songs to her son while bathing him.
“Absolutely! You know, I often sing Britney Spears songs to my child during his bath. It’s almost as if I’m constantly wondering what on earth he must think of me. That’s a bit of modern-day parenting for you.”

Spears secured a $15 million book deal, one of the largest deals ever made, with actress Michelle Williams narrating the audiobook and Spears herself contributing to the memoir’s introduction. The book went on to sell more than two million copies within the U.S. alone.
A fierce competition ensued for the film rights, and Universal Pictures emerged victorious. The upcoming movie will be helmed by Jon M. Chu, renowned for his work on movies like “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018), “In The Heights,” and the forthcoming musical “Wicked” (2024). Additionally, Marc Platt, a well-known producer who has been instrumental in creating films such as “La La Land,” 2019’s “Aladdin,” and “Wicked,” is also involved with this project. At present, there’s no word on who will portray Spears or any other characters in the adaptation. However, Roberts might have an advantage due to her connection with Spears’ assistant.
