Stree 2’s Sunil Kumar excites fans as he drops PIC with Guddu bhaiya Ali Fazal; Fans say 'Ashwathama and Sarkata in one frame'

As a die-hard fan who has lived and breathed Bollywood for as long as I can remember, the news of Sunil Kumar (Sarakata from Stree 2) and Ali Fazal (Guddu Bhaiya from Mirzapur) sharing screen space has sent my heart racing faster than a Formula One car! The anticipation is palpable, and I can barely contain my excitement.

Picture two actors famed for their ominous, gloomy roles teaming up for a venture – it promises an uncontainable chaos! That’s the thrill we’re feeling as Sunil Kumar, who played Sarakata in the smash hit Stree 2, shares a photo with Ali Fazal, renowned for his character Guddu Bhaiya from Mirzapur. Are you eager? Because we certainly can’t wait!

In a widely shared photo, Ali and Sunil are captured striking a dashing pose for the camera, their height disparity adding an adorable touch. Many users responded to this picture with laughter and clever comments. One user quipped, “Ashwatthama and Sarkatta in one frame“. Another observed, “Even though Sunil stands at 7’6″, Ali Fazal is almost level with his shoulder!” Kumar titled his Instagram post, “Shooting with Ali Fazal, Guddu Bhaiya.” You can find the post here.

Movie 2, featuring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in significant parts, has become a huge hit. This horror-comedy is almost breaking into the Rs 500 crore club domestically, suggesting that it’s all about content triumphing over everything else.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been eagerly following the journey of Mirzapur on Prime Video. While the initial two seasons were met with tremendous success, the latest installment has garnered a more reserved reception from viewers and critics alike. This captivating series boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas, and Neha Sargam, among others.

Regarding the film Stree, it has played a significant role in subtly challenging patriarchal norms. In an interview with PTI, the screenwriter for this Amar Kaushik production explained the criticism about the humor being more prominent than horror. “Our ghosts are reflections of societal flaws. Sarkata represents the most distorted form of patriarchy. Stree symbolizes matriarchy and is not a witch. We’ve crafted these characters with purpose. We’re not dealing with supernatural elements or spirits out of nowhere,” Niren Bhatt explained.
