Recently, seasoned actor Pramod Pathak shared an account of working alongside Khan in Raees and disclosed that, despite his celebrity status, Khan remains deeply committed to his work above all else.
Pramod Pathak collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia’s movie titled “Raees.” In this production, he portrayed the character of Gujarat’s Chief Minister on screen. Recently, during an interview on the AR Discovery Podcast, the seasoned actor shared his insights about working on that film. He reminisced about undergoing multiple screen tests for the part before eventually being cast.
Pramod shared that King Khan, despite being widely regarded as a superstar, is surprisingly down-to-earth. People might think he’d be full of himself and intimidating, but quite the contrary, he’s a simple man. He approaches his work diligently, always showing up on set in character, with his primary focus being on his tasks at hand.
In a continuation of his thoughts, the actor shared that the King character, whom he worked alongside in Raees, never gave him the impression of being a superstar. Instead, they would casually discuss their scenes and share opinions, making it effortless to collaborate with him. The actor emphasized that there was no sign of arrogance or star behavior, stating it felt as if “two characters were working together.”
The actor from Mirzapur explained that they didn’t have casual conversations but instead practiced their scenes together before filming. Pathak mentioned that people are usually tense around Shah Rukh Khan due to his celebrity status, but he personally found it effortless working with the star.
Speaking about his collaboration with SRK, the seasoned actor expressed that he lacked any sense of ego or star behavior. He described the whole experience as if “two actors were simply playing their roles together.”
Under the guidance of director Rahul Dholakia, the movie Raees starred Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as its main characters. This film premiered over the Republic Day holiday in the year 2017.
