Enotria: The Last Song Faces Xbox Delay Due to Microsoft Communication Issues

As a long-time follower of indie game developments and a dedicated souls-like enthusiast, I must admit, the recent turn of events regarding Enotria: The Last Son has left me both intrigued and disheartened. The Italian indie developer Jyamma Games has created an enticing blend of sunlit worlds and dark souls mechanics that I’ve been eagerly anticipating since its announcement.

Independent Italian game studio, Jyamma Games, unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming souls-like title, “Enotria: The Last Heir,” at Gamescom 2024.

Initially scheduled for a September 19 launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, the game Enotria might not come out on Xbox anymore. The developers have reportedly prepared the game for release on Xbox, but there seems to be a change in plans.

According to a statement made on their official website and additional sources, Jyamma Games clarified that their upcoming game will not be released on Xbox, primarily because of inconsistent communication issues with Microsoft.

Enotria: The Last Song Faces Xbox Delay Due to Microsoft Communication Issues

According to a recent post by Jyamma Games, they’ve found it challenging to communicate with Microsoft about submitting their game for the Xbox edition.

They’ve been in touch with Xbox for about two months now, but there’s been no new information coming their way.

According to Windows Central, the CEO of Jymma Games, Jacky Greco, asserted that Microsoft appears unconcerned towards Enotria and its supporters. He expressed his frustration over the significant funds he invested in the porting process, only for Microsoft to seemingly disregard them.

Enotria: The Last Song

A recent post from Jymma Games hints that they would have avoided the current problem if they had a personal Xbox account manager. They’re asking for assistance in reaching out to Xbox directly, implying that there might still be a possibility of an Xbox release pending a response from Microsoft (Xbox).
