Hyundai has revealed its refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5 lineup, including the new adventure-ready XRT variant, built at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) in Georgia. The revamped model range boasts enhanced battery capacity, a longer driving range and innovative features.
The updated IONIQ 5 XRT boasts enhanced off-road performance featuring a 23mm suspension lift, all-wheel drive dual-motor system, and sturdy 18-inch wheels shod with all-terrain tires. Its daring exterior styling sports digital camouflage bodywork, black badges, and distinctive front and rear facias, making it eye-catching no matter the terrain. The cabin offers H-Tex upholstery adorned with exclusive XRT emblems and a revamped center console.
Moreover, the 2025 IONIQ 5 marks Hyundai’s debut of the Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, providing access to approximately 17,000 Tesla Superchargers. This expansion in charging options is achieved without needing an adapter. Alongside a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter, this feature enhances the convenience of fast charging for IONIQ 5 owners.
José Muñoz, the president and global COO of Hyundai, underlined their dedication to broadening their electric vehicle (EV) range. He pointed out that the IONIQ 5 XRT is designed for customers seeking a more robust and off-road oriented experience. These upcoming 2025 IONIQ 5 models are expected to meet U.S. tax incentive requirements, and they’re due to arrive at dealerships this fall. Specific pricing details for different models can be obtained by contacting authorized Hyundai dealers directly.
