During a recent conversation with News18 Showsha, Pankaj Kapur talked about his relationship with his grandchildren – Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor’s daughter Misha and son Zain. The veteran actor admitted that he has spoiled his grandchildren terribly. Shedding light on his point, he revealed that his grandchildren call him ‘baba’ and once Zain’s cousin accompanied him to the IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack actor’s home.
The young child inquired about the appropriate term for addressing his grandfather. Kapur’955 years ago. In response, “This little one of mine, my grandson, referred to him as a “no-rules guy” (laughs). The actor then clarified that he doesn’t impose any rules on his grandkids, allowing them to do as they please
He stated that their joy is evident whenever they’re at their grandfather’s house, as they don’t have to ask for permission before engaging in activities, he explained. Kapur further shared that this indulgent characteristic will be mirrored in his on-screen relationship with the granddaughter character in their upcoming film, Binny And Family
In simpler terms, the experienced actor made clear that he’s around to ensure no one is making mistakes, and if they do, he’ll intervene. Conversely, the actor from Shandaar expressed, “While they may not be heavily controlled by their parents, I encourage a sense of freedom at my place, allowing them to explore without interference.”
In his opinion, it’s only normal for a grandfather to develop such feelings towards his grandchildren, a sentiment that’s evidently portrayed in the movie as well
