Jason Shuman and Ben Queen are currently developing the screenplay for “Cola Wars”. Steven Spielberg is serving as the producer for this project under his production house, Amblin Entertainment. Maia Eyre is supervising the movie’s production on behalf of Sony Pictures.
Shuman plays a key role in developing Apple TV+’s series “Acapulco” and holds an executive position in HBO’s show “Winning Time”. Queen garnered writing credits for the animated film “The Addams Family 2” as well as both follow-ups to “Cars”.
Apatow is recognized for having directed movies like “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up,” “Funny People,” and “Trainwreck.” His latest directorial project was “The Bubble,” a 2022 Netflix comedy film that featured Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, and Keegan-Michael Key in the starring roles.
