Kim Kardashian Just Paired Something Called A 'Wet Dress' With Wet Hair, And I've Never Seen Anything Like It

As a long-time gaming enthusiast who has spent countless hours navigating through virtual worlds and fashion simulations, I have to admit that Kim Kardashian‘s recent red carpet appearance left me utterly spellbound. The Balenciaga Wet Dress she donned at the 2024 Kering Caring for Women Dinner was a sight to behold, a true testament to the boundary-pushing creativity in the fashion industry.

In the realm of celebrity fashion, Kim Kardashian consistently delivers striking ensembles, frequently venturing into daring territories such as boldly angled necklines, defying gravity with her gowns, or adorning herself in materials like chainmail. Her hairstyles have ranged from a wet look to the illusion of liquid hair, but she has recently taken the water theme to unprecedented levels by combining her water-inspired hairstyle with a Balenciaga dress that mimics the wet look, creating an effect unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed.

So, Kim Kardashian likes to appear wet? That’s what I’m taking away from this after seeing the 3D Molded Liquid Rubber Balenciaga Wet Dress that she adorned for the 2024 Kering Caring for Women Dinner in New York City this week. That gown combined with seemingly still-wet curls cascading over shoulder make it look like she just stepped out of a shower fully clothed. Check out the images she shared to Instagram:

Initially, when I came across the phrase “wet dress,” I envisioned an elegant and glossy attire similar to Halle Bailey’s shimmering halter-style gown at this year’s BET Awards. However, what I’m encountering now is something entirely unexpected. Although the Balenciaga 2024 spring collection piece has a shine that gives it a water-like reflection, its texture is what makes it seem like it’s dripping wet.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at the flawless fit of Kim Kardashian’s liquid rubber dress, subtly mimicking the cascade of water droplets on her form. Unlike any other hairstyle she has donned before on the red carpet, this one truly stands out. Even the wet-hair look she’s sported previously pales in comparison. The liquid hair style she and celebrities like Megan Fox and Jennifer Lopez have flaunted is undeniably glossy and almost mirrored, but it doesn’t evoke the same water-drenched effect as this one does.

I’m curious to find out if Kylie Jenner, Kim’s younger sibling, will follow the trend of wearing a wet dress next, as she has previously showcased the wet style with sheer fabric at a fashion event this year. Given that the Jenner sisters have been quite influential in the fashion world, much like Kim Kardashian, it wouldn’t come as a shock to me if she decides to adopt this trend.

Known as one of the most recognized members within the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kim Kardashian consistently broadens her influence. Not only does she experiment with various fashion trends (occasionally drawing comparisons to Bianca Censori), but she’s also venturing into new on-screen projects.

Following her first significant acting appearance on “American Horror Story: Delicate”, the well-known reality TV personality now has two films scheduled, along with a leading role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming courtroom series, “All’s Fair”. This production will be streamable with a Hulu subscription at some point down the line.

There’s been a bit of chatter suggesting that these recent changes might result in the cancellation of the popular family known as the Kardashians, but with Kim Kardashian consistently captivating us with stunning fashion choices such as the wet dress, I believe she won’t be disappearing from our notice anytime soon.
