After a lengthy hiatus, the live feeds resumed, revealing the contestants unexpectedly marooned in the yard. Leah Peters commenced her Week 9 Head of Household reign, with J.A.N.K.I.E. stepping in for Ainsley. The coming days promise even more upheaval following the veto competition’s outcome.

As a viewer, I’ve already witnessed the results of the veto competition, but let me fill you in on what happened before we dive into that. Angela Won The Week 9 Veto
Yet again, I find myself acknowledging why I used to dislike Angela Murray, but finding it hard not to admire her. Despite making attempts to undermine her supporters for weeks on end and almost getting herself kicked out, she has managed to secure a reprieve this week by ensuring she won’t be nominated at the last possible moment.
To be fair, she wasn’t in much risk this past week due to Leah winning Head of Household. However, considering Angela’s gameplay strategy thus far, she could benefit from any safety net she can find.
Leah Won The “Jankie Veto”
The situation behind the aforementioned chaos with the veto basically revolves around two vetos having been handed out. While Angela won the proper veto, which we all know plenty about, Leah won the “J.A.N.K.I.E.” veto.
It appears that we don’t completely grasp the mechanics of this veto, but what’s clear from the live broadcasts is that Leah can only exercise this veto if Angela chooses to use hers first. There might be additional rules or complexities, which we may need to decipher after the veto ceremony or possibly during Wednesday’s episode.
How Two Veto Powers Could Make This Week Very Messy
If Angela exercises her veto power to save either Kimo or Rubina from the block, Leah will be faced with a choice. Having previously pledged to eliminate the trio of Rubina, Kimo, and T’Kor Clottey, she could stick to this plan and nominate T’Kor for eviction instead, leaving the housemates to decide who stays. However, Leah has made it clear that she wishes to shield T’Kor, so it remains uncertain whether she would opt for this strategy.
Previously, I mentioned that we’re unsure about how the J.A.N.K.I.E. veto operates. But if it functions as expected when Angela employs it, Leah might dramatically alter the scenario by aiming at the alliance within the other house group. Granted, making so many adversaries in a single week could lead to Leah being nominated for eviction unless Angela wins Head of Household. Nevertheless, she might negotiate a pact with the trio consisting of Kimo, Rubina, and T’Kor, proposing a truce and planning to switch sides within the house, provided such a move takes place.
To emerge victorious in Big Brother, it’s crucial to set aside emotions towards the end game. Cody Calafiore broke his alliance with Nicole Franzel during the finale night, leading him to win Big Brother Season 22 despite her unfollowing him. If they can suppress their personal feelings and collaborate with Leah, the trio could potentially flip the situation against Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, and Makensy Manbeck, reviving their chances of taking home the game.
To be frank, all nomination choices seem solid for this week, making it possible for Leah to replace Angela with Chelsie during the veto, allowing events to unfold naturally. At this juncture, every player holds a potential for victory, so it’s challenging to label anyone’s move as misguided by putting someone else up for elimination. I can’t wait to see how the second veto plays out and adds another layer of intrigue to the season!
