Ancuta Sarca SS25 Redefines the Office Siren Trend

As a seasoned gamer of the fashion world, I must say that Ancuta Sarca‘s Spring/Summer 2025 collection left me absolutely spellbound! Having traversed through the virtual runways of countless designers, I can confidently declare that this Romanian-born, London-based powerhouse has truly outdone herself.

Born in Romania but based in London, fashion designer Ancuta Sarca is now a highly anticipated figure during London Fashion Week. As a NEWGEN designer, she’s back for another season, this time with the backing of the British Fashion Council. This support allows her to present unique and engaging displays that highlight her distinctive hybrid footwear designs.

In Spring/Summer 2025, Ancuta Sarca draws inspiration from contemporary office environments and the optimism of the 1960s, blending them with a refreshed sophistication. This season, Sarca redefines the “office siren” style, outfitting models who are eager to work hard in effortless ensembles that adhere to revitalized professional standards. The show space featured a soft beige floor, accented by comfortable armchairs, bright lighting reminiscent of offices, and the rhythmic sounds of keyboards to complete the corporate atmosphere.

Ancuta Sarca studied the vibrant work culture of London for SS25, offering a modern update to your wardrobe with casual tennis attire featuring low-slung designs, ruffled hoodies, pleated shorts, buckled capris, and patent leather-trimmed workwear sets in versatile neutral shades. True to form, the designer impressed with her signature kitten heels, showcasing them in stylish leopard print styles with collapsible collar accents. Knee-high and ankle-length boots were revitalized with bold animal prints, while loafers were reinvented with contrasting mesh panels.

At London Fashion Week, a Romanian designer unveiled two surprising partnerships for the first time – Crocs and Clarks Originals. The Crocs design featured a platform slip-on in gleaming gradient tones, complete with metallic buckles and wildcat accents. Moreover, the designer revamped the classic Clarks Wallabee using recycled materials, transforming it into a flapped heel style adorned with metal clasp details.
