It’s Insane Enough Time Has Passed Lacey Chabert’s Filmed 40 Hallmark Movies, But She Explained Her ‘Favorite’ Part Of Keeping The Gig For So Long

As a die-hard fan of Lacey Chabert, it’s hard to believe that she has been gracing our screens for over two decades now! From her unforgettable role as Gretchen Weiners in Mean Girls to her recent ventures with Hallmark, Lacey has truly come a long way.

Lacey Chabert initially starred in “Elevator Girl,” a TV film produced by Hallmark, all the way back in 2010. This was five years following her portrayal of Gretchen Weiners on the big screen and a decade after the popular Fox series “Party of Five” came to an end. It’s remarkable to think about the 14 years that have gone by since then, and during this time, Lacey Chabert has remained active. She recently shared that she had completed her 40th movie for the network, and discussed why she still cherishes the role so dearly, even after all these years.

It’s Hard To Believe Lacey Chabert Is A Veteran In The Hallmark Biz

Lacey Chabert has spent many years as a child actress, later shifting into teen comedy roles on both TV and cinema, with “Mean Girls” being particularly memorable. However, in more recent times, she’s found herself working often for Hallmark productions, which allows her to dedicate time to other ventures such as her clothing line, and spend quality moments with her daughter Julia and family. (This also leaves room for everyday activities like shopping at Target.)

Between various endeavors, she manages to shoot multiple movies annually for a cable network. As we approach the holiday movie season, Hallmark’s schedule is brimming with fresh and intriguing productions, and Chabert will be part of this lineup. Interestingly, she recently confessed on a talk show that she has reached a significant milestone – her 40th film, not her age.

Yeah with Hallmark I just filmed my 40th movie for them actually.

As the go-to star for Hallmark productions, one might expect that Chabert has a wide range of film projects and acting partners to choose from. Lately, she wrapped up a movie titled “His & Hers” with her regular collaborator Brennan Elliot, hinting at potential future installments. However, for her 40th movie, she decided to do something unique and this festive season, she teamed up with another Hallmark stalwart, Kristoffer Polaha.

In the movie, he portrays both a specialist in the ancient Norse tongue and an ex-spouse. This led the production team to travel to Iceland for their newest romantic escapade, making it a wonderful benefit of his acting career.

Lacey Chabert’s Favorite Part Of Working For Hallmark

Chabert shared insights into the various experiences her roles at the cable network have given her. For instance, in the series ‘Love on Safari’, she had the opportunity to travel to South Africa and shoot scenes at the Brookers Reserve in Johannesburg and the elephant sanctuary in Belabela. Similarly, in ‘Groundswell’, she was fortunate enough to film in Hawaii (on the island of Maui), and let me tell you, the views were nothing short of breathtaking.

Now, in The Christmas Quest, she was able to head all the way to Iceland. As she noted in the interview with The Talk:

It was just incredible. We were filming on ice glaciers and inside lava caves in places that I probably, like would have never gone otherwise. And that’s one of my favorite parts of my job, when you get to have these little adventures. I always bring my family if I can.

Time seems to fly by so swiftly. It feels as though just yesterday, I was eagerly attempting to popularize “fetch,” and now Chabert is recounting tales about her daughter, puzzled by the term. However, it appears she isn’t taking her career or the significant life experiences it has provided for granted. And although it doesn’t rejuvenate my youth, I’m genuinely pleased for her.
