Disney Pixel RPG, the retro-inspired title, is set to release worldwide next month

  • Disney Pixel RPG is set to drop on October 7th, next month!
  • It’s a retro-inspired RPG where you fight alongside famous faces from Disney canon
  • Create your own avatar, explore a variety of picturesque worlds and more

As someone who grew up with Disney movies, cartoons, and games, I can hardly contain my excitement for Disney Pixel RPG! The nostalgia factor is off the charts with all these beloved characters from the Disney canon coming together in this retro-inspired RPG.

The upcoming video game titled “Disney Pixel RPG,” inspired by retro styles and brimming with characters and locations from the vast Disney library, is scheduled to launch on October 7th. This highly-awaited project hails from GungHo Entertainment, and its array of characters should be familiar even to casual viewers of Disney films. But what can we look forward to upon release? Let’s explore!

In Disney Pixel RPG, you have the opportunity to engage in battles that blend automatic and tactical elements, which are player-controlled. You’ll design and personalize your own character and team up with a diverse array of characters from various Disney franchises. Expect a balance between intense action during combat and relaxed periods where you can socialize with well-known figures such as Genie, Mickey Mouse, and others in a more casual setting.

This Disney-themed RPG doesn’t break new ground in terms of design, but it does venture into the retro aesthetic, featuring charming pixel graphics and an anime-inspired art style. If one were to be less charitable, they might say it draws heavily on the consistently successful style of Kingdom Hearts.

Sufferin’ succotash (I think that’s right)

I’m not at all cynical, no doubt about it. In fact, I can hardly imagine that Disney Pixel RPG won’t be a major success. After all, the Disney brand is one of the most influential pillars of global entertainment (with its pros and cons). The game will be available for both iOS and Android devices starting October 7th, which means you’ll only have to wait a few more weeks to play it!

In the interim, should you find yourself at a loss for games to engage with, perhaps giving a few from our list of top mobile games in 2024 a try would be an enjoyable diversion?
