As an analyst, I am excited to announce that I’ve been part of the team that has collaborated on the launch of DOTphin, an innovative Polkadot NFT project. This collaboration involves Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI), Unique Network, and WalletConnect. This unique opportunity is being extended to attendees of Token 2049 in Singapore.
Attendees of Token 2049 have the opportunity to take part in the DOTphin adventure, where they can gather a PoP (Proof of Presence) item. Collecting this PoP helps progress through stages of an avatar’s development, which is impacted by real-world ecological data from Aquasearch, SNI’s marine conservation partner. This unique blend of blockchain and environmental conservation allows users to contribute to preserving marine life and enjoy advanced technology simultaneously.
As CEO of Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI), Catherine Bischoff explained their mission: to revolutionize the financial aspects of biodiversity preservation and regeneration. By means of DOTphin, they’ve introduced a revolutionary method, blending community involvement with nature conservation by linking digital collectibles to real-life entities. In this way, we imbue virtual spaces with significance by dispersing assets that can be verified as generating tangible effects in the physical world.
Users can access or verify Proofs like PoPs by visiting the SNI website or scanning QR codes at events. This will lead them to a straightforward procedure that allows them to log into their account (if they have one) or create a new one using an email, social media profile, or digital wallet. The process is user-friendly and streamlined, making it convenient for everyone to manage and collect Proofs.
After gathering the PoPs, the next action is advancing the DOTphin. This can be accomplished by navigating to the Real Evolution page on the Real portal, using the same login credentials you used to validate Proofs. The process kicks off with obtaining the initial “orbo”, which serves as a starting point; once it hatches, this signifies the beginning of the DOTphin’s evolution.
To enhance the DOTphin, various gathered Populates (PoPs) and proofs are employed. On the genuine Evolution page, opt for the ‘evolve’ feature, pick the proofs you want to use, and the DOTphin will grow as specified. Each chosen proof influences the traits of the DOTphin, resulting in a customized depiction of personal involvement and accomplishments. The selected proofs mold the evolution of the DOTphin, creating a distinct avatar for each user.
The look of the DOTphin avatar is strongly inspired by Japanese anime artwork. This choice makes a strong and identifiable bond with the audience, turning the digital companion into something they care for as it grows and changes over time. Notably, this art was designed by Daria Smakhtina from Ephemera One.
