Robert Pattinson Gives Another Unique Performance in Mickey 17

In a curious twist, Mickey 17’s query about the sensation of dying is set to be addressed repeatedly by Robert Pattinson in an upcoming sci-fi production. Following the unveiling of the intriguing trailer, enthusiasts have flocked to social media platforms to express their anticipation for this peculiar venture, which promises yet another captivating portrayal from the ex-Twilight actor known for his distinctive performances.

The adaptation is likely to feature significant departures from the original book, as author Edward Ashton was unaware of the upcoming movie until a press release was issued. Yet, the writer has expressed no concern about director Bong modifying the narrative for its cinematic adaptation. In an interview with Nerdist, he clarified:

He doesn’t have to include me in the project. I’m not expressing any discontent about it whatsoever. However, people have asked me if I’m anxious, given the changes director Bong is planning for the book. To put it simply, he informed me that the script will be significantly shorter than the original 350-page book, and a lot will be left out. But rest assured, I’m not worried about it at all. In my opinion, the man is a genius, and I don’t believe he has ever made a poor film. I genuinely hope that this won’t be his first misstep.

Meanwhile, Bong characterizes Mickey 17 as a tale of an ordinary individual transforming into a world savior, labeling it as “an odd kind of heroic odyssey.” On the other hand, Pattinson deems the film as “unusual,” “bizarre,” and amusing.

For a significant number of years, Bong has been my admired idol; he is truly inspiring. I received the script for consideration, and was informed, “You’re going to adore this script, but the role is extremely challenging.” This piece of information filled me with immense excitement. I found it incredibly unique, oddly amusing, and intriguing.
