- Dragon Mania Legends, the hit collectible dragon game, is debuting a new Green Game Jam event
- There’s also the return of their “We Could Be Heroes” event to promote inclusivity and diversity
- The events start this month!
As a gamer who’s spent countless hours tapping, swiping, and strategizing across various mobile games, I can confidently say that it’s refreshing to see developers like Gameloft stepping up to the plate with events that not only entertain but also educate and promote important causes. The Green Game Jam and the We Could Be Heroes event in Dragon Mania Legends are perfect examples of this.
Over the past few weeks, our news coverage has highlighted numerous developers and studios joining Playing for the Planet’s Green Game Jam – an event designed to motivate players towards eco-friendly decisions. Now, the creators of Dragon Mania Legends by Gameloft have also decided to participate!
Dragon Mania Legends invites players to immerse themselves in the magical land of Dragolandia where they can nurture dragons by breeding, hatching, and training them. Given its popularity among younger audiences, it’s fitting that the Green Game Jam is selected as a platform to enrich the learning experience for these players.
The team developing Dragon Mania Legends plans to execute two distinct initiatives. One campaign, tailored for the Green Game Jam, emphasizes sustainable battery recycling. The second endeavor is a competition inviting players to create their unique parasport-themed dragons in accordance with the We Could Be Heroes event within the game, which champions inclusivity and diversity.
It’s not easy being g-g-g-green
Without a doubt, this isn’t revolutionary or deeply philosophical content, but I believe it’s heartening to witness a studio dedicating resources to incorporate such events into their game. Given the expansive nature of mobile platforms, it offers an excellent opportunity to connect with people globally, in diverse circumstances, and support these noble causes.
